UVI/U lamps (doped low pressure lamps in a U shape)
U-shaped amalgam lamps combine the advantages of both features, ”U” construction and amalgam techno- logy, giving optimum power per unit of length. If ex- tremely compact equipment is required, or if extreme performance - otherwise only achievable with medium pressure lamps - is essential, the choice has to be U- shaped lamps.
